About 7th Global Safety Summit 2020

GSS 2020 hosting its 7th edition, launches in India with the energy gained by the huge response from Industries and Professionals from the past 6 Editions in the India’s Environment Health and Safety ecosystem. GSS 2019 witnessed footfall including CEOS, MDs, VPs, and NVP level delegates and speakers included Central Ministers, Govt. Officials and Industry Leaders. The Summit Coincides with The World Water Day 2020, and as a result, the theme of the GSS 2020 is “aligning India’s EHS ecosystem to achieve global sustainability goals”. There GSS 2020 is supported by the UN Global Compact Network India Chapter.As the UNGC local arm, GCNI has been acting as a country level platform in providing a robust platform for Indian businesses, academic institutions and civil society organizations to join hands for strengthening responsible business practices. With the ‘10 Principles in areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-corruption’ provide a common ethical and practical Framework for Corporate Responsibility - and the 17 ‘Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)’ adopted in September 2015, by all 195 Member States of the United Nations including India in order to end extreme poverty, fight inequality and injustice, and protect our planet- understood and interpreted by businesses around the world , regardless of size , complexity or location. The GSS 2020 Summit will be focusing the objectives to Goals 6,7,8,9,12,13 and companies of various industries will demonstrate how their activities in EHS contributing to these goals. The Participants are from Government Agencies, MNCs, Public Sector where Speakers will have enlightening Sessions on Environment Safety and Best Practices to achieve the above mentioned goals. As we had in past years the day conference will be followed by a network lunch and Award Distribution in the afternoon. During the Award Ceremony a Journal by World Safety Forum also will be launching. GSS 2020 showcases the companies responsibility in achieving the sustainability goals through best practices
